Austrian activists demand the right of citizens to pay in cash for any purchases to be included in the country's constitution. Now in Brussels they are discussing the introduction on the whole territory of the EU a limit of 10 thousand euros for cash payments. The initiative of the Austrians gathered more than 450 thousand signatures. The introduction of cash limits is considered a tool in the fight against money-laundering. For example, France will not notice this innovation at all, as it already has a limit of 1 thousand euros since 2015.
