The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine signed a memorandum with the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Infrastructure and Food Sovereignty of the Republic of Senegal on cooperation in the field of agriculture.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

It is noted that the document provides for the development of bilateral trade in agricultural products, cooperation in the field of research, investment, as well as relations between state institutions and private organizations.

Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky said that despite the war, the Ukrainian side makes every effort to continue exporting food to African countries in the required volumes.

According to him, Ukraine is ready to increase the volume of agricultural exports and is ready to consider the possibility of implementing new logistics projects in Senegal.

In particular, we are talking about the possibility of storing Ukrainian grain in the so-called grain hubs. Their creation will contribute to the predictability of sales, stabilize food prices for African countries and provide confidence in the required volumes and quality of grain.

Solsky also visited the seaport of Dakar (Republic of Senegal), through which 95% of food is imported to the country.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukraine in December 2022 increased the volume of grain supplies to African countries.
