U.S. DOJ threatens cryptocurrency exchanges with "tough measures"

Eun-Yong Choi, head of the U.S. Justice Department's National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET), has declared "war" on centralized exchanges.

She is threatening "harsh measures" to those platforms that violate AML rules and fail to adhere to strict KYC requirements.

Yong Choi claims that the agency has seen a marked increase in such platforms over the past four years.
