The number of billionaires in the world has fallen from 2,775 to 2,688 people in 2022 compared with last year. Their combined fortune fell from $13.1 trillion to $12.7 trillion, according to a report by Swiss bank UBS.
It is noted that 360 people's assets have decreased, and because of this their condition ceased to reach the mark of one billion dollars. However, 273 new billionaires made the list.
The biggest number of billionaires in March was in the United States - 735. Their number increased by 11 compared to last year, and the total wealth - nearly 7 percent, to 4.701 trillion dollars. China ranked second in the number of billionaires (540). There are 86 fewer of them, and the total capital fell from $2.532 trillion to $2.027 trillion.

Most of the richest were in the financial and investment sector. The technology and engineering sectors were also profitable.
