FINMA has extended until September 1, 2022 the suspension of its subsidiary Sberbank Switzerland AG's obligations with respect to customer deposits and restrictions on payments and transactions.

FINMA is responsible for the supervision of the financial markets.

The regulator explained that the extension of the restrictions was due to the strengthening of international sanctions and the continuing risks to the bank's liquidity situation.
