At the end of the second quarter of 2022, the wealthiest 10% of Russians accounted for 30% of the population's monetary income. Only 2% of total income was in the hands of the poorest 10%.

The average income of the richest Russians reached 132.92 thousand rubles. This is 15 times higher than the average income of the poorest 10% group, which amounted to only 8.86 thousand rubles.

Russia is one of the world leaders in inequality. Less than 0.0001% of the adult population in Russia - about 500 "super-rich" citizens - own 40% of all financial assets of Russians, or the sum of $640 billion.
