France talks about accelerating the de-dollarisation of the world
The BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) will accelerate de-dollarization if they create a single currency, said French Les Echos columnist Claire Bargeles.
According to her, one of the key issues at the BRICS summit in South Africa, to be held on August 22-24, will be the creation of a new single currency. The journalist recalled that this group of five nations accounts for more than 40 per cent of the world's population, almost a quarter of global GDP and 18 per cent of trade on the planet.
"Enough to have monetary ambitions that aim to protect a multipolar world that will not be dominated by the US, and in general the domination of Western countries will be a thing of the past," she stressed.
