Evraz is selling its North American division and looking for a buyer, the company said

Evraz owns two steelworks in the USA and four in Canada. The company is the leader in the production of rails in North America, as well as a leading producer of sheet steel.

Evraz North America also owns 18 processing plants in Canada and the United States.

In its last report, the company mentioned that geopolitical tensions posed serious challenges to its corporate governance and operations. Probably, the company wants to limit the impact of new risks by withdrawing from U.S. assets.
