The startup was founded by entrepreneurs and brothers from Armenia Tigran and Vahan Petrosyan in 2019. The company created the medical robot Robin - it communicates with children in hospitals, monitors their health conditions, analyzes data and prepares reports. For now, Robin only works with children, but the company has already begun testing it in the care of the elderly.
The robot can be controlled via an app. During 2021, the company installed 15 robots in several clinics in the United States. The cost of a hospital subscription to the robot depends on its configuration.
Robin uses AI-based technology to establish an emotional connection with children. It has a memory model to reproduce patterns of behavior based on previous situations. For example, it can remember children's emotions, conversation patterns, and more.
According to the company, Expper Technologies raised $200,000 from several private investors and SmartGateVC and HIVE Ventures funds in December 2019.
