AT&T has completed a spin-off with Warner Bros. Discovery

The telecommunications giant announced Monday that it had closed a deal with Discovery to spin off its WarnerMedia business. The spun-off company, which began trading under the ticker symbol WBD, is called Warner Bros. Discovery.

"After closing this deal, we expect to invest record amounts in our growing 5G and fiber network," AT&T CEO John Stankey said.
