Apple and Disney chiefs to tell congressmen about China
A group of lawmakers will travel to California to meet with tech and media executives, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Disney CEO Bob Iger, to discuss China-related topics, CNBC reported.
The committee's work could affect the technology and media industries, which are interested in both a large consumer market and a workforce in China. Just last week, Cook, whose company uses Chinese labour to manufacture phones, met with the country's trade minister on supply chain issues.
According to a source close to the committee, the committee sees the trip as an opportunity to learn from industry leaders on the ground, as well as share its concerns and vision for business links with China.
