Ursula von der Leyen confirms rumors: EU to impose €5.5 billion import ban, including timber, cement, seafood and spirits

What else:

• $10 billion worth of exports, including advanced technology and semiproducts
• The EU will impose a total ban on transactions with four key Russian banks, including VTB Bank
• Russian vessels will be banned from entering EU ports, except for food, aid and energy

The EU will also work on additional sanctions, including on oil imports, von der Leyen said.
