"Cryptocurrency is less stable than the marijuana market" - U.S. Senator
The U.S. Senate Finance Committee held another hearing in which Senator Michal Bennett criticized those banks that operate in this area. The politician also openly expressed his dislike for the entire digital asset industry.
"Signature collapsed last weekend. One-fifth of its deposits came from cryptocurrency companies. They (banks) aren't allowed to serve marijuana suppliers, for example, yet you can keep 20% of your capital in digital assets that no one here even understands," Bennet said.
At the same time, the senator stressed that he considers the crypto-industry even less reliable than the marijuana market.
